A buddy of mine and I were discussing this at work today, and it is truly a sad story. In 2003 Ugueth Urbina was a member of the 2003 World Series Champion Florida Marlins. He had saves in 2 of their 4 wins.

Today he was sentanced to 14 years in a Venezuela for "joining a group of men in attacking and injuring workers with machetes and pouring gasoline on them at his family’s ranch".
